Dr Anezina Solomonidou

Dr. Anezina Solomonidou is a planetologist specializing in planetary geology and the exploration of potentially habitable worlds in the Solar System. She is a Senior Scientist at the Hellenic Space Center and holds a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the Paris Observatory. She previously worked for several years at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and at Caltech in the United States, as well as at the European Space Agency (ESA) in Madrid. She has actively contributed to the Cassini–Huygens, Europa Clipper, and JUICE space missions. Her scientific work includes publications in international peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and contributions to the design of planetary experiments and future space missions. She represents Greece in ESA programmes for Human Spaceflight and Exploration and serves as President of the Planetary Sciences Division of the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
